An evening when the temperatures dropped below zero, some of the roads were icy, the 'attraction' of the Lincoln v Ipswich cup replay on TV and sickness all added to the list of imponderables. Despite this the turnout was excellent.
With discussions on the anticipated Scribblers meal, now set for Tuesday 28th February, and the proposed 2017 anthology, the meeting had plenty of bite. But the main event was the flash fiction and the subject drawn out was 'Missing.'
It was a subject that set the creative minds whirring into action and after 30 minutes of frantic (in some cases) writing we set about reading out the results. From the very first to the last, the work was amazing and even gripping. It is surprising how we all worked within a time frame. That pressure added to the fun and the excellent results.
Well done everyone who took part and thank you for making the evening such an enjoyable success.
Our next meeting will be on 7th February when the 1,000 word homework assignment is "Anything but beige..."
