Although not as well attended as usual, the evening was full of diverse stories surrounding the subject 'challenge'.
A challenge it was not for the stories that were shared showed differing styles of writing that produced another very enjoyable evening. One story that stood out was from Martin who tried his hand at a children's story for the first time. A well written work and one that, with the help of an illustrator, could be a certain favourite for the very young at heart.
Now we have to wait two weeks for the next event on our calendar - The Bill Budner Trophy which will be awarded to the winning author of a 1,000 word story on any subject, The competition is open to attending members only and the work will be presented anonymously. Should be another great evening - Tuesday 21st May at 7.30.
