Formed over forty years ago, our Writers Circle is based in Felixstowe, Suffolk. Meetings are held in The Room at the Top in Felixstowe Library, normally on the first and third Tuesday of each month commencing at 7.30pm and finishing by 10.00pm. Check this weblog for details of meetings.

There is an annual November to November fee of £30, April to November is £20 and June to November £15. For members preferring to pay at each meeting the charge is £5 per meeting. Welcome back to the fold to Barry, Connie, Stephen and Simon. Congratulations to Barry on the publication of his new book, “Strictly A Family Affair”.

Tony reminded the group that he is appearing in Springfield Follies pantomime production of Babes in the Wood at the Kesgrave Community Centre on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th February and tickets are still available for these dates. Stephen has arranged a "Meet and Greet" with the Liberal Democrat PPC for Suffolk Coastal Daisy Cooper on this Sunday 7th 3-4.30pm; Daisy Cooper is an exciting mid-twenties person who is eager to fight for, campaign for, and if elected work for the people of Suffolk Coastal so he is providing the chance to meet her at 27B Albert Walk,
Felixstowe, 01394 275171, 07903 976255. She has a website which is www.Daisycooper.co.uk, and that is well worth taking note of too.

A Writers’ CafĂ© has been arranged at Starbucks in the Buttermarket, Ipswich for 7.30pm Monday 15 March. Admission is free and this time there is no need to book a place – just turn up. Names of those wishing to read will be drawn from a hat but there is a time limit of five minutes per story or poem.

Also coming up in June is ‘A Writing Holiday in Italy’ that has been organised and arranged jointly between Caroline Foster of Creative Writing Groups and Angela. Details are posted on our weblog at http://scribblers2010.blogspot.com

Anglia Ruskin University are offering the chance to see your work published in an anthology that will include a collection of poems and creative writing. The brief is ‘The Digital World – Are we living in a new ‘Industrial Age’?’ The deadline is Monday 15th February. Again, details are on our weblog.
