An update...

The report of our last meeting is delayed for a time but rest assured it will be sent as soon as possible. I take this moment to remind you that there is a longer gap than usual between our meetings... with an extra Tuesday in July it means you can all relax a little longer than usual! Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 5th August when no homework theme has been set. For once you can write what you like, either a new story or something from your personal archive - even part of on ongoing novel. All we ask is that you limit your work to the usual maximum of 1,000 words.  Then, as some of us say, you read it and we'll listen!

It was nice to receive a letter from our dear friend Clive. As you know he has been unable to attend Scribblers for some time and is genuinely missed. It seems that he is progressing fairly well although it might be a long time before he can get along to a meeting again. We all send him our very best wishes and hope we can all see him again soon.

I have just noticed an omission in our anthology. Somehow I missed including Cathy Stafford from the editorial team. It is my error and would like it recorded here that Cathy helped us provide what I consider to be an excellent publication.  Sorry Cathy!

Having missed one of the few Scribblers meetings, I hope I will be able to return next time round and also attend the planned committee meeting in a few days time. Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

For now, Keep Scribbling!!!

All the best

Dave
