Photographic meeting success.

A very good turnout tonight that included two new members who were thrown in at the deep end with our photo, postcard or picture flash fiction event. With the choice of many photos etc., everyone chose one and thought there was some changing of pictures it all turned out fine in the end!

There were some amazing stories all written within the 30 minute allotted time, followed by readings of each story. A really worthwhile and enjoyable exercise.

Pre meeting Cathy collected the display boards and various items to help with our involvement at the Felixstowe Book Festival. Our two slots, as a reminder are at 10.00 on Sunday 26th June when we start the day with a story then, at 4.30 we hold our flash fiction event. Squeezed in between, at 3.00 pm our good friends the Orwell Writers will read a selection of short stories inspired by William Shakespeare. These events are all in the Furneaux Suite at the Orwell Hotel. There is a full programme over the two days with various events including Ruth and Jeanette. I hope you will all support our events and the Festival in general.

Talking of the Book Festival, Jane came third in the short story competition so very well done!

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 5th July with a 1,000 word homework assignment to include the phrase 'It makes a change'.

Hope to see you at the Festival and then at Scribblers.

Keep Scribbling!!!
