Formed over forty years ago, our Writers Circle is based in Felixstowe, Suffolk. Meetings are held in The Room at the Top in Felixstowe Library, normally on the first and third Tuesday of each month commencing at 7.30pm and finishing by 10.00pm. Check this weblog for details of meetings.

There is an annual November to November fee of £30, April to November is £20 and June to November £15. For members preferring to pay at each meeting the charge is £5 per meeting. Minutes of Scribblers meeting held on Tuesday 05 September 2017

Present:  Liliane, Beryl, Dave, Mairead, Bridget, Anne, Tony, Rani, Kay, Cathy
Apologies:  Steve, Jim, Gerry, Dick.

Business:
Ross, one of our newest members, has had to opt out of the group due to his family commitments, but wishes us all well, and expects us to go on to great things! We'd all enjoyed his company, his gentle humour and excellent writing; we will miss him.

The new back door bell is finally fitted and functioning – thank goodness!

Thanks again to Mairead for providing delicious treats.

Readings:
The homework topic was ‘Tales of place’, and what a terrific variety of stories was forthcoming. From Barcelona to the Barents Sea, ancient cave paintings in France to Chaucer’s connection with Ipswich – so much to enjoy!
