Our next meeting

Just a very quick note to apologise for not, apparently, making clear the date and details of our next meeting.

It will take place on Tuesday 20th May at 7.30 pm. This will be the Bill Budner Trophy competition for attending members only. The normal rules apply (they can be found above), The competition will be run on anonymous lines meaning that there should be no  mark or indication of your name on your entry. Each story, on any subject you wish, should be no longer than 1,000 words long  It will be read (hopefully by an independent reader or if not by our stalwarts Beryl and Dick).

Bill's widow Maureen should be attending to listen to some of the entries but also to receive the first trophy in the competition from Jane (who seems reluctant to remove it from it's pride of place!)

Maureen has donated a new trophy which she will present to the author of the best story on the night.

The report of the last meeting will be delayed (again) due to work on the anthology... nuff said!
