I hope you had a pleasant Easter despite Katie blowing her damaging gales our way. We had two walls felled by the wind yesterday. Not our walls but those surrounding the property. A good start to the day!
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 5th April - that's a longer break than usual but someone threw in an extra Tuesday in this year's month of March.
I am sorry if there was any confusion over the homework for the the meeting. To clarify. You have two options:
To write up to 1,000 words to celebrate Felixstowe Library's 50th anniversary of the opening of their Crescent Road home;
or
To write up to 1,000 words on any subject of your choice.
The decision is yours but whichever choice you make, happy writing!
Meanwhile, I would like to thank Richard again for trying to attract some new membership to Scribblers whilst attending the recent writers courses at UCS. If you are ever attending a function then the Scribblers would always welcome some free publicity!
Finally for now, its good news from Jeanette who says, ' One of the short stories I wrote for Scribblers has been published in an East London magazine! Without the homework assignments, I'd never have been attempting short stories without them!'
As a footnote, I have just read Jeanette's 'Exclusion Zone'. It is a fantastic read and had me wanting to keep turning the pages until there were no more to turn... now I'm wondering what book will ever be quite as absorbing.
Until the 5th,
Keep Scribbling!!!
